What MVAR has to offer: Many MVAR of our members have a great wealth of knowledge which is willingly shared, covering areas such as layout planning, bench work, track laying, wiring, scenery, etc. Regular meetings are less formal get-together’s are great for help and information exchange. Sometimes, on-site help is available. In recent years club members have established two modular groups one for 'N' scale and one for “HO” scale. For each group, the modules are individually owned and group members can have as many modules as they wish, although ownership of a module is not a requisite for participation in the group. The modular system makes it possible to put together very large portable layouts in both “N” and “HO”, only limited by the number of modules available. For members of the modular groups the club now sets aside the 2nd and 4th Thursdays in each month at the Neelin Community Centre. We gather at 6pm for set-up and usually operating trains from 6:30pm to 9:00pm as per Boardroom booking. A few days before the Modular Group Evening, our Coordinators for each group will send out an email to members to see who is bring any modules so a layout plan can be executed. HO2GO group this is extremely important as it has limited space for the room due to the size of the modules. Coordinators John Allen is for our N T-Trak group where as Bill Lawrence is for our HO2GO group. Please see their email in the contact section.
ALWAYS FUN running trains and having Fellowship Conversation
