Introduction to Coal Loads making real look alike
So you want to be in the Hobby of Trains either on your own or with involvement with a Club. Today I am going to have FUN with the hobby, which is constructing a end product out of common everyday items. Recently as I always do, I attended my local Hobby store Larkspur Lines in Merrickville. Ontario and went to the bargain bin of estate rolling stock. I managed to pickup 6 or 7 coal cars all nicely weighted for only $9.95 each which as a deal over suppliers charging $40 each. So I pondered coal loads, which I did purchase suppliers price of $3.50 for three of the cars. I began to look at various things around me like shipping foam sheets and furnace filters. I also checked the Internet as after all many have this requirement. They suggested cutting a piece of cardboard to fit the car, and following ballast technique. Lot of work on that one.
